Narnia: Susan's Bow

Description

 ... it's finally done. It is around 4 ft. tall and made from wood (sanding took forever). The "ivory" tips and handle were sculpted using apoxie sculpt and the vines at the top is thick wire. The string makes the bow semi-functional because the ends of the string is made from elastic so it is able to be pulled back. Paint wise I went for a more worn look as if it has been used a lot rather than clean and new looking. I used a mix of wood stain and acrylic. It is based off of the bow in the Narnia films and it is one of my favorite movie props. I might consider making Hawkeye's and Katniss's bows in the future (they'd be a whole lot simpler). Feel free to ask any questions about how it was made, etc. This is my redone version of "Bow" [link]. This one has much more detail and work put into it.
Let me know if the picture overall is too dark. Sometimes things are lighter on my computer then on other computers, etc.

The allegory of Narnia differs from that of Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. There the allegory is heavy-handed and the veneer wears thin at points.
